Frequently Asked Questions About Therapy in San Diego

Do you offer therapy in San Diego and online in California?

Yes. I offer in-person therapy in San Diego and online therapy throughout California for adults, couples, and families.

What do you help clients with?

I work with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, ADHD, burnout, trauma, relationship and attachment patterns, grief, life transitions, stress, and family or cultural concerns.

What types of therapy do you use?

My approach is individualized and may integrate EMDR therapy, ACT, parts work/IFS-informed therapy, attachment-based therapy, somatic and nervous-system approaches, neuroscience, and systems perspectives.

How much does therapy cost?

Individual therapy is $125 per session and couples therapy is $150 per session. I accept credit and debit cards for payment.

Do you accept insurance?

I do not bill insurance directly. I can provide a superbill that you may submit to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Coverage varies by plan, so I recommend checking your out-of-network mental health benefits.

Do you offer EMDR therapy?

Yes. I’m trained in EMDR and use it when it fits your needs and goals. We’ll talk together about whether this approach makes sense for you rather than assuming one type of therapy fits everyone.

Do you offer sliding-scale or reduced-fee therapy?

Yes. A limited number of reduced-fee therapy spots may be available based on availability. Feel free to ask during your consultation.

How do I know if we’re a good fit?

You don’t have to decide before we meet. I offer a free 15-minute consultation where you can share what brings you to therapy, ask questions, and get a sense of whether working together feels right.

How do I get started?

Schedule a free 15-minute consultation. From there, we can talk about what you’re looking for, availability, and possible next steps.
