My Approach to Therapy in San Diego

First and foremost, you need to feel comfortable being yourself here!

Therapy can’t go very far if you don’t feel safe enough to be vulnerable, ask for what you need, disagree with me, or say, “Actually, that doesn’t resonate.” You don’t need to come in with the perfect words or know exactly where to begin.

So we start where you are. Before trying to change anything, I want to understand what’s actually happening in your life, and what it feels like to be you right now!

We’ll get curious about the whole picture: your mind and body, relationships, family, culture, identity, environment, and the experiences that have shaped you. When one part of our lives is stretched or overwhelmed, it often shows up somewhere else.

formula for being a person."
